Hand, Foot and Mouth

Well, we are coming off of a challenging last three or so days. The doctor diagnosed Mason with the Infant Hand, Foot and Mouth virus. Overall, its about a seven day course that has to be run. He is doing so much better now, smiling, talking and such.
He was weighed when he was there...14 1/2lbs if I remember correctly.

Mason recieved his first set of shots today, he did excellent considering the needles were comparable to the Epidural needle. He screamed for a few minutes but calmed down not long after. Carrie gave him some baby tylenol before the doctors appointment this morning which helped I am fairly certain.
Scheduled to do it again at his four month appointment.

Mason Robert Wimer

Mason weighed in at 8lbs 8oz, 23 inches and was born at 5:13pm on Wednesday July 1, 2009.

We are home now and Mason is doing great! The birth went excellent, we were at the hospital from Tuesday evening until Friday afternoon. The grandparents have been nothing less than stellar throughout the whole experience.

His name

I told Carrie that I will pick his middle name and she can pick his first name.
So, after going back and forth with a couple of different names, she settled on Mason Robert.

Countdown is on

Its only a matter of time now. Carrie has experienced some intense contractions over the past couple of days. Scheduled induement for Tuesday afternoon, anticipated delivery date is 1 JULY 2009. Maybe we will make it, maybe not.
